We GRADEL Successfully Completes FAT for Two Multi-Purpose Trolleys for Satellite Manufacturing
Another milestone for GRADEL’s space activities: GRADEL has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for two Multi-Purpose Trolleys (MPTs) developed and manufactured to support satellite manufacturing and assembly operations for a customer in Italy.
Designed specifically for demanding space industry applications, these Multi-Purpose Trolleys provide a stable, precise and versatile working platform throughout the different stages of satellite integration and assembly.
Dedicated MGSE for the Space Industry
The two MPTs are part of GRADEL’s expertise in the design and manufacture of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) for the aerospace and space sectors.
MGSE plays an essential role in satellite manufacturing, integration and testing, providing the equipment required to safely handle, position and support spacecraft and their components throughout production and assembly activities.
For this project, GRADEL developed a dedicated Multi-Purpose Trolley designed to combine flexibility, precision and stability while meeting the demanding requirements of satellite manufacturing environments.
Lightweight Aluminium Construction
A key feature of these MPTs is their fully aluminium construction. The material provides a lightweight structure while maintaining the rigidity and dimensional precision required for demanding aerospace applications.
The combination of lightweight design, structural rigidity and precision engineering makes the equipment well suited to satellite assembly and integration operations, where accuracy, reliability and controlled handling are essential.
As with GRADEL’s other aerospace and space equipment, the MPTs were designed and manufactured with particular attention to workmanship, quality and the specific requirements of the customer.
Successful Factory Acceptance Test
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was successfully completed last week, marking an important step before delivery to the customer’s site.
The FAT provides an opportunity to verify that the equipment meets the agreed technical and functional requirements before shipment. During the acceptance process, the customer provided positive feedback on the quality of workmanship and overall realization of the equipment.
This feedback reflects GRADEL’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality MGSE solutions for satellite manufacturing and space applications
Supporting Satellite Manufacturing in Italy
The two Multi-Purpose Trolleys are scheduled to be delivered to the customer’s site in Italy at the beginning of October. Once installed on site, they will support the next stages of the customer’s satellite manufacturing and assembly activities.
