Gradel signed at the Composites Europe in November 2018 in Stuttgart a cooperation contract with AMC (Automotive Management Consulting) for ultra-light structural parts. Gradel is responsible for bringing this technology in the SPACE Sector. Bionic structural components are the end product when employing simulation techniques to design glass, carbon, basalt or natural fibers in line with the required component function and then winding the fibers three-dimensionally. Process technology known as “xFK in 3D”, which is used to produce three-dimensional components via a patented winding process, can result in a significant weight savings. It offers application-oriented methods of integrating wide-ranging components.
